Well, I was right. I should be punching a time card at physical therapy. They have me training the new girl. Guess they figure I've been there enough so I know the ropes. She seems nice so it's ok. Nice is big in my book.
The supervisor sat in on the evaluation today (I guess to be sure I could handle the new girl....no problem, I like teaching). They rotated my leg, just like the Doctor did and they both made that same, painful looking face that the Doctor made when they heard my knee crunching. That must be the medical look for "crappy arthritis genes" patients. The supervisor even turned her head away when she heard it. Then together they said "crepitation" in unison. See...I'm teaching them already.
So I'll be on the schedule there twice a week for a little while. You know.....until she's ready to solo. Glad I can help.

PT training - that's .....
by donr - 2014-11-10 08:11:49
......nothing. I train Phlebotomists at the hospital.
Every time they get a new one, I'm there Johnny-on-the-spot to give them the finer points of taking our life's blood.
The regulars are ecstatic w/ glee at having me come in. I train the newbies at coping with screaming & fainting patients. At doing the BIG veins on the back of the hand & wrist that rollllllll nicely when approached by a needle.
You know they all love it when us old hands come in.

Hope the PT will help and you the young one trained. Crepitation....not a good sound. I teach my students how do a knee exam with my crapoy knees. About murmurs with my heart. And a host of other things... Donating our bodies to science while still living, what a good idea.
You know you're wired when...
You play MP3 files on your pacer.

Didn't know the PM

Didn't know the PM qualified you for advanced medical instruction. Guess it's the resilience you get after having a PM implanted.
Sorry your knee was crunching but I guess it's better than having your heart crunch.
Hope your PT for arthritis goes well.
