Hey Newbies!
I just came across this and thought it may be useful. I skimmed through it and most of it pertains to PM/ ICD hosts as well.

.....read!!! Every newbie SHOULD read the sections discussing the immediate after effects of the various procedures.
That is info that every PM/ICD should be aware of - the part that talks about the MENTAL aspects of recovery after heart procedures. Depression/sadness & mental attitude. Perhaps our cardio community should read it also. We certainly see enough of it to make it important to our community.
OTOH, the dietary sections are applicable to everyone; but critical for immediate recovery is the part about aftereffects.
Good find, GH!

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.

I have a feeling you may be the only one who read it. :-)
