Pulse in wrist

Can anyone else SEE their pulse in their wrist? I just assumed (I know) that everyone can but started to compare family and friends wrists and so far, NO ONE else can see theirs. It is in both of my wrists but the right wrist beats a little weaker (further from the heart I guess).

Some of my sons think it's freaky......that's me!!

Don't know why some of my posts are printing the wrong punctuation marks instead of commas or apostrophe ??

It's pretty cool

Not at all, just an observation. I have always been fascinated with how the human body works. My only obsession is my family.

So far there is only 3 of us here! Must be hot in Nawth Jawja…sounds like that bear came back and took your favorite socks from your porch!

Oh wait, wait…..I have to go check my ankles now…..I’ll be back.

It’s hot here too….stay cool Don, Happy 4th !!!

Just my left wrist

I never noticed until you asked the question but yes I can see my pulse in my left wrist but not my right. Here's the crazy part, I can feel it better in my right than my left. LOL!!! go figure. :o)

The Bear...

...has disappeared! Has not been seen for better than a week. This is after we went out & bought an air horn like they use at basketball games to signal the beginning & ending of periods.

Haven't seen hide nor hair (nor footprints) of the fellow.

If he got my socks, they are soaking wet & chewy. It has rained here about 6 inches in the last two days

We never go out of the house w/o the air horn - that & my ability to scream loudly when startled.

About 4 days ago we heard a single gunshot. Wondering if a neighbor w/ a backhoe took care of the problem for us.

I'd hate to dig a hole big enough for a bear w/ a D handled shovel in Nawth Jawja red clay.

(But, OTOH, we hear single gunshots all the time - we live in close proximity to a firing range. Of course, there's the guy w/ the modified AK 47 - sounds like someone ripping canvas!)

Happy Fourth to you & yours, also.

Interesting responses

Kimbo & Sparrow: No, no pulse in my ankles....or anywhere else KC...LOL.

Betts: I can feel mine better in the right too, even though it is visually weaker!

Alma: You're right, I can count my pulse by just looking at it.

Good to know I'm not the only one. :)

Don: What a good idea...an air horn, but...it was probably that last bag of garbage he walked off with from your house. Mama Bear said don't shop there anymore !!

Bag of garbage

by donr - 2013-07-05 05:07:13

Yeah, Grateful, that shopping spree was a real dud. He's lucky he didn't get the bag that contained the bathroom trash! That would have been a real stinker.

We still have seen zero evidence that he opened his prize - no empty milk cartons wafting through the forest on our summer breezes.

Which just reinforces a point - NO woman in her right mind sends a husband or boyfriend off to do the shopping!

pulse

Yes, in both wrists. I am thin though, but I can remember seeing them when I was plumper and younger! I am 70 now! Very useful if you want to count heart rate without feeling for pulse.
Grandchildren, when they were young were fascinated by Nan's pulse also veins that stand out and would 'play' with them!

A book could be written...

...but if it truly reflected a woman's feelings, could it be sold on the open market at B&N or would it be relegated to porn shops in the seedier sections of town? How many volumes would it be?
