expect to be on a morphine drip after for a few days. the pain is not funny. i have had both replaced one right after another. i have been fine since 2002 when the last one was done. the only thing i dont like to think of is my pacemaker 2 hips and after having chronic bronchitus for years in this lovely chemical valley copd. i still dont let any of it interfere with us having a quality retirement and the pain is gone . after being in pain from 55-61 it was marvelous to be pain free. hope this helps. oh yes they get you up right away almost and before long you are racing about. lol jessie all the best and let us know

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
Good thoughts on Monday for you!

I'm not ready to volunteer, but I do have a neighbor who sailed through the procedure and is walking and feeling great with so much less pain. Keep us informed and you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Carol
