I have 4 live wires now

by Grateful Heart - 2012-09-28 01:09:31

When I had the lead revision last year, they capped part of the wire in my right ventricle that was stimulating my diaphram and added another lead. They left the original part for the defibrillator active. So now there are 4 live wires I have been told. I understand the concept but not the full electrical aspect. Did they splice it? lol

I don't think the nurse believed me when I told her for my checkup. In fact, I know she didn't...although she is a great nurse. When the Boston Scientific rep was there I mentioned it again and he scrolled down and saw it on the monitor.

I will not attempt to walk on water, not worthy. In fact, I think I will just stay on the ground for now!

4 wires anyone ?

Hi Pete

Glad you're well . I would stay with 2 wires if I were you; the only guy who ever walked on water got crucified in the end !

Cheers

Ian

Well have a new Doctor here in Tyler Texas.
Seems like We going to have a good relationship.
He explained in detail why I have a 2 wire and not a 3.
Seems my Cronic AFib was corrected by pacing my Right
Ventricles and right Atrium. Told me I'm do great, just lose the wieght. Told me chances of me meeting my maker will not be from heart failure. I know what he means, His nice way of telling me lose the wieght.
Thanks every one for your comments.

Glad to hear you have found a doctor that explains things to you, that is so important. Ask plenty of questions. Write them down as you think of them so you don't forgot one while you are in the office. This site is wonderful. You will learn so much here.
Take care.

I use to walk on water w/o a pacer

You know you're wired when...

You have an excuse for gaining an extra ounce or two.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
