I was out shopping today when I saw my doctor collapse holding his chest.
"Please, help me!" he pleaded.
So I phoned the surgery and the receptionist told me someone will get back to me within 48 hours.

Privileged people

Privileged people always get fast service. Since you're in the UK, he musta been a member of the Queen's Own. That's the only explanation of why it was two days instead of two weeks - or - wait-to-the-end-of-the-month like everyone else.
ABSOLUTELY TRUE STORY .....
by Tattoo Man - 2014-11-02 10:11:40
.............One of the staff at my lovely local Medical Practice told Mrs TM the other day that a Government Directive sent via the NHS required every patient to be asked how many alcohol units they consumed...
and be referred for counselling.....if deemed 'too much'...
OK....
At a subsequent staff meeting, all members including Doctors and Nurses discussed the matter....and admitted that,...to a person...they all would fall foul of the Government Directive...
It was decided not to take up the scheme..
Now I'm not telling you this story in order to invite the,...all too predictable tirades,....
No...its to hold up a mirror to the scheming, self-serving hypocrites that pontificate from the public money subsidised bars of the House of Parliament.
Cheers !!

Instructions

The doctors and nurses who advise patients to phone right away for postoperative emergencies should be on the receiving end of that meaningless platitude. If I miss their return phone call I just get another message to call them back and wait again in never, never land for a response. By then you are either dead or feeling better.
You know you're wired when...
You need to be re-booted each morning.

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
Fire Dept.

My doctor called the local Fire Dept. to report his kitchen on fire. The answering receptionist said "Throw two glasses of water on it and call me in the morning."
