What do Drs mean exactly ?

Dr : Wellll, what have we here..."
Since he hasn't the foggiest notion of what it is, the Doctor is hoping you will give him a clue.

Dr "Let's see how it develops."
Maybe in a few days it will grow into something that can be cured.

Dr : "How are we today?"
I feel great. You, on the other hand, look like hell.

Dr : "I'd like to prescribe a new drug."
I'm writing a paper and would like to use you for a guinea pig

Dr : "Well we're not feeling so well today, are we?"
I can't remember your name, or why you are here.

Dr : "If those symptoms persist, call for an appointment."
I've never heard of anything so disgusting. Thank God I'm off next week.

Dr ; "There is a lot of that going around."
That's the third one this week. I'd better learn something about this. I hope I don't get it !

..... and the most worrying one of all :-

Dr : " What is that bulge by your collar-bone ? I've never seen anything like that before ! "

Hi! Ian, Guess most of us, if not all, can relate to one or more of those less than useful wordings. My favorite one is, "There is a lot of that going around". My grand children's pediatrician chooses a little different way of saying, "Help, I do not have a clue.", but it is just as frustrating. She says, "Well, the crud is going around you know". My grandson, quite young the first time he heard her say that, quickly replied, "But, I don't want that crud going around me". Have a nice day Ian, and thanks for sharing. Hopeful Heart

If the Dr says " Hmm, it is interesting.." means, I have no clue as to what it is and I will have to look up a Latin name for it.
If he says " your baby looks so like you.." means, what an ugly baby that is no so cute at all by any means..
