Signs Leads Not Working

What are the signs and symptoms that a lead(s) in pacemaker are not working properly? I have some pain under left breast and upper arm. Not due for interrogation until early March. Have Medtronic dual chamber placed 2.5 years ago which is pacing all the time due to complete heart block.

Signs usually are that you revert back to feeling the same as you were before getting your implant. As I've been the route being without a pacemaker twice because of erosion for up to 60 days this has been my experience. Recently my 5th replacement started erosion & getting interrogated they found my atrial lead was not sensing. Well I only had this implant for a few months & noticed my low limit HR was not functioning properly as my HR resorted back to the days before having my 1st pacemaker.
Generally you will feel most all the same symptoms depending of how much your pacemaker has been programmed to do for you. In my case it was SSS, Wenchebach syndrome & eventually 2nd degree electrical block. Each had their own symptoms & eventually, with time, showed up. Long story short, it is very rare for any electrical heart problem to heal, but,
it has always taken 30 to 60 or more days for all the original diagnosed electrical problems to return & the symtomes that go with them

You will experience the same symptoms you had before the PM. That be said you should be careful and get your PM checked right away. If you start getting dizzy get yourself to a hospital. Its not worth waiting!!

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
