Need help also

Does anyone in the Fort Lauderdale / Davie area of Florida need support? I have had my ICD for 18 months now, and I have no one to talk to. Have gone to head doctors, but without knowing the feeling of a ICD and shocks, lightheadedness, panic attacks and vertigo, they are not much help. There are no support groups here to help, and no one to talk to.

Is there a Mended Hearts through your hospital? They aren't specifically ICD but have helped a lot of people. There is a Cleveland Clinic down that way, also, you might check and see what they have.

That happens to be my hospital. I have got I believe to be one of the best doctors there. All the support groups at the hospital no longer are active due to not enought support from ICD patients. Thanks for writting back, I am going on web site for Mended Hearts and do more research.
