Feeling good about myself!

Hello everyone in the PM world. I have had my PM in since August 2012. It's a St. Jude Device, I have a Merlin at home. I also had quintuple bypass in July 2009. I just wanted to share some thoughts with everyone.

I have been "jogging" more or less over the last two years to keep my BP down and to lose weight. Have had no problems when jogging. I work a desk during the day (govt. worker). I jog about 10-15 miles a week along with cross training on my off days. I have been to my cardiologist every 3 months since 2009. I am also taking Metropolol and lipitor. (minimal doses)

I can honestly say that I never thought that I would ever have a PM, much less the quintuple bypass, but I am glad to be alive. I have had the "full boat" of blood-work done every 6 months to monitor my cholesterol/triglycerides/PSA, etc. Everything is normal and within range.
I want to start a 5/10K run and raise $$ for local hospitals that do cardio rehab work. I think that that is the least I can do to pay back the wonderful people that help so many. My goal is to create a website. One of the "links" on the website would be this Pacemaker Club site because it has been so helpful and very user friendly.

Anyway, everyone stay the course and be heart healthy.!!
