Replaced lead

All went well with my pm revision, they untangled it and moved it over a bit and sewed it securely in place, on testing the lead it had 2 years life left so a new lead was put in and I now have up to 8 years before I need a battery change. I am so pleased with the care I got from the time I got to the ward to the time I left, everyone was so kind and caring. I told them about my bad experience last time so they took extra care and gave me extra sedation so it was like others have said, it was a piece of cake. .I am tired today and a bit sore but so much better than last time. Long may it last. Thanks to those that offered their support.

Sparrow was giving you a cocktail recipe.

It sounds good so far. Maybe she can finish it....we'll call it "Sparrow".

Jane...glad all went well.

When I first wrote on this page 4 years ago Donr said most people would say it was a piece of cake after the surgery so I got a bit of a shock when I ended up with a punctured lung, needing a chest drain. Donr did give a lot of good advice like its attitude and I think that got me thru a bad experience. This time I can't believe how well I feel, very tired but that is to be expected but I am here on my own, my daughter stayed the first night, but I am okay being here with my puppy Meg, my son in law said she is like a squirrel on speed. She makes me laugh and that's what we all need in life. I am getting a roast of lamb cooked for me for tea, so am looking forward to that. I had lost 8kg in the 4 years since I had pm first implanted.
