Cardioversion

Hi there, I have been referred on for another cardioversion, as my heart is well in afib, has been for 3 weeks, went to pm clinic today, pm doing what it should but heart very irregular, I was sent straight to see the visiting cardiologist who upped meds and is organising procedure. I have been feeling very tired and short of breath almost how I felt before I had pm. I am not happy at all with my new GP either is the cardio. I saw GP on 1st July with abdomen pain, while I was there I said my heart was in afib which he confirmed, then said I was not there for that so he couldn't spend much time on it. I had to organise my own pm check and cardio visit. At the moment all GP practises are full and not taking new patients, will tell him how unhappy I am next time I see him. I was very concerned as I have already had a stroke.

Go see a Electrophysiologist not a Cardio, just ask your GP for a referral to a EP.

Not sure we have an EP here. The cardiologists insert the pm and your under their care after. I'm not sure what title the pm ladies have that check pm. We live 2 hours away from cardiac hospital, but I will have cardioversion at our local hospital I will check with my GP when I see him next.

Cheers Jane

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
