shoulder and arm pain

I would really appreciate any input. I know I went through left arm and shoulder pain five years ago when I got my new first pacemaker. But now, after five years of no pain, it is back. Nothing I have tried gives me much relief. Anyone else have this or have any ideas? thankyou, Ann

Frozen shoulder?

It could be frozen shoulder. I've had it (pre PM) and it is very painful. There are a number of physio exercises you can do that will help considerably long term, but it does take weeks to overcome.

thank you so much

I really appreciate you taking the time and care to answer my question. I will check out the physio exercises. Ann

Maybe not PM connected

I have pain in my right arm and shoulder sometimes - my pm is on the right side as I am left handed. I thought at first it may be caused by my pm pressing on something but that is not the case.

In fact it is the nerve coming from the spinal column and exiting via one of the spaces between the cervical vertebra in my neck. The disc has moved slightly and presses on the nerve. So may be worth having that investigated. It is the same as having lower back and leg pain like sciatica but just higher up the spinal column.

Check the way you sleep especially your pillow.

I was given exercises and anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen. Still get it from time to time but now know what to do.

Hope that helps and best of luck

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
