I am just about to the 4 year mark of my pm implant. I am experiencing some minor discomfort frequently around the heart area. I did talk to my cardiologist, but he didn't seem to think it was a problem. Is this just normal? my interrogation went well and they actually added more time (2 years). I am also going through loss of weight due to severe loss of appetite. Normal? thanks for your input.

Hi! Yes, we should not just assume our symptom(s) is/are always heart related. Whatever the cause, you need a diagnosis so you can be and feel healthy. Hopeful Heart
thanks to both of you

You are so right. I should not immediately jump to conclusions. I have just seen my gp, but he didn't think anything on the appetite. Just said it could be diabetes out of control (but it isn't). I have had a complete physical and I am just now working on my appetite and will get checked again soon. again, thank you. Ann

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
not normal

Discomfort + no appetite means something could be going on. When is the last time you saw your gp, had blood work and a physical? It gets easy to blame everything on the heart/pm, but don't let the cardio telling you your heart is fine keep you from checking out everything else. Good luck.
