Hello...im a 28yr who originally had atrial tachycardia problems and had two failed ablations. About 5 years after that I developed symptomatic bradycardia in the 30s and had to have a pacer placed. Two years later I found out I have been having episodes of v tach and one episode that made me dizzy was polymorphic v tach (the bad kind) that lasted 6 seconds. I had all the tests done including mri (medtronic compatible pacemaker) and no structural problems were found. had ep study and was fairly easy to induce v tach and v fib with some extra beats or too much adrenaline. So, I have been put on sotalol twice a day and had an icd placed a week ago. I also have a twin sister.
I am concerned bc they could not find any problems they say it is all electrical but they have no idea why and why it happened now. They say it could be genetic but its not worth doing the expensive tests. I'm concerned about my twin as well. She has atrial tachycardia but no other problems now.
Anyone else have pacer and icd for unknown reasons? Of course Im very scared of getting shocked and of the electrical problems getting any worse without knowing what it is. My anxiety is high and I feel like I cannot be alone in case something happens.
Anyone have anything similar happen? and suggestions? Im going to ask my cardiologist about genetic testing again bc of my sister and if I want to have kids in the future.
Thanks.

My cardiologist is brilliant and after lots of trial and error got me running. I finished this years London Marathon in 3hrs 38 minutes.
