Do pacemakers reset on their own?

My friend recently received a pacemaker. She told me that every night her pacemaker "resets" at 2:00 a.m. and wakes her up. She said it causes a fluttering feeling in her heart. Do most pacemakers reset every night? I don't remember my doctor telling me this but I know that I also wake up often during the night and don't know why.

It's not resetting, it's doing a self test similar to what it feels like when they check it at the drs office. Tell her to talk to her dr, they should be able turn it off, or at least set it at a time she's likely to be in a deeper sleep.
