Nothing but problems

From two+ weeks, I been running a low grade fever on and off. Last Thursday, fever got higher. By Saturday, it was hitting 102.7. From there, I been eating something for the fever around the clock. Saturday night, I was in very bad shape and went to the local ER. More blood work! Everything looked somewhat good, but now waiting on the culture return. I also had one hell of a weight gain(fluid) and a big lost. 10 lb swing in two days.

Now a new problem that started yesterday. My CRT-D area and below it is real sore. Every breath has me jumping in a chair. This is a first and my transplant team knows of all these problems. They want me to go in, but they really can't treat anything till the blood work is back.

Talk about a catch 22. LOL Yesterday, I was feeling/hurting so bad when my home bound nurse came that I told her I just about had enough and really to throw in the towel. I just can't keep putting my wife thru this roller coaster. And of course it is driving me nuts.

God bless and take care,
Paul

Sorry you are having such a bad time, I'm sure you have had lots of times you wanted to throw in the towel, none of this has been easy for you. I'm also sure your wife wants that towel folded and put away, and you right back taking care of yourself and the dogs. Hang tough, remember the money you spent on duck hunting in north La., can't let that go to waste. Prayers for you. Jean

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
