Morning all

Just a quick update. Had the right heart cath done late yesterdays afternoon. Good new is that my heart output is fairly close to my numbers from last year. Not great, but making me hang in there. I'm still waiting for my crazy doctor to come in today to rub that in her face.

Now a bit of bad new if anyone here is on Medicare and ever needs to be placed on Dobutamine. Even though I been on it for the pass 16 months, for Medicare to approve it for me, they had to do that right cath to show how much I improve with it. So, I will most likely have to come back in a few weeks, get off the Dobutamine for a couple days and then do another right heart cath. Medicare will not take the test from more then 6 months.

I would of went home yesterday, but as of May 1, that is when I went on Medicare. And yes, it is a pain in the back side that would drive people to drinking. I really think that Medicare pushes hard for people to NOT use it having to jump thru hoops that they have in place.

Anyway, I am feeling a bit better. Just tired on being in a hospital setting.

Take care and God Bless,
Paul

Hi Paul,

glad to hear that you are doing well...as for medicare, it basically SUX... but nonetheless, it's good to hear that you are feeling better, if only just a little... sorry you are having to jump thru hoops like that, but after all, medicare is a government run program...what else can you expect ... important thing is you're still here with us... hope you get to go home soon... take care of yourself...

Hi! Paul, Glad you and your #'s are hanging in there.
When Medicare attempts to defeat you, hang in there even stronger. My whole family is patriotic, but it is suppose to be government of, by and FOR the people. My husband is still working, and I have very good insurance through his company for now. However, with new guidelines taking place, I just had a dangerously miserable hospital experience as a stroke patient. I am so worried for those, who by nature, trust their care, without question, to others and/or don't have loved ones to keep watch over their care. Home Sweet Home, soon!!! ,and get there safely. Hopeful Heart

Sounds as tho things are looking up, Keep a stiff upper lip and keep looking up too. You seem to have angels on your side and beside you, so don't let a crazy dr. get the best of you. Lots of prayers coming your way. Jean
