I'm back on the Dobutamine as of yesterday. Today they put a picc line in. They are afraid of putting a hickman back in due to it might blow out the main vein it goes in.
Of course I had words with my crazy doctor and it still is not going good there. It really pissed me off. Yesterday, when I showed up for my appointment for 11am, she walks by me at 12pm and back again at 1pm. Around 1:30, a nurse happens to come by me and asked who I was to see. I told her and sure as hell, my doctor forgot about me.
Well, it goes that way again today. She crawfishes her butt again and again. God, I'm at my ends. Just unreal.
Now the bad side of things. Now that I'm under Medicare, I have to jumped thru all kinds of hoops to justify me being on Dobutamine. So, this afternoon, they will be doing a "new" heart cath. Then again tomorrow, do it again, but they have to take me off the Dobutamine for 24 hours. Medicare has to see a 20% improvement for me to go home on it. That shouldn't be a problem. Last time they checked, without, my EF was at 10%, with, around 15%. So, that is an easy 33% jump.
Oh well, just another day of fighting onward. Oh, I happen to see one of the head nurses that is a sweet person with the transplant center. Told her the trouble I'm having with this crazy doctor I been seeing. This nurse works just for the headcheese in the transplant center and I'm sure word will get to him.
Take care and God Bless,
Paul

I'm sorry to hear your struggles are continuing. I private messaged you last week. I know you've been very busy, but I just wanted to make sure you saw it. I thought it might be of some help to you.

..........................when I had my heart surgery...7-3-7..on ward 31..bed 8..one of the things that kept me sane was the fact that on the Cardiac Critical ward , patients could have a beer..just the one, in the evening.
I could pass a lovely hour, just gazing at the can .
Never has a beer tasted so good...

And thanks .
Well they put me off for the heart cath yesterday. As to why, nobody knows.
I had a great night of sleep last night. First one in a long time. Got up and went for a good walk. Now I'm just waiting to find out there plan.
Y'all have a great day. TM, there was no need of Scotch last night. LOL
God Bless,
Paul
You know you're wired when...
Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

......................I aint got no magic wand..but maybe you could try this...
Get a piece of paper and draw your boat..fill in your favourite setting..and draw a picture of your favourite Scotch..try and get the label big enough so you can get the name on it.
Now stick it on your bedside cupboard..at a level so that its the first thing that you see in the morning and the last thing at night.
Hell !!...draw a hundred boats and stick them wherever you choose.....maybe on Doctor Crazys ass !!
Do a really special one for Mrs Fish...and promise me this...no colouring-in outside the lines !!
Still sitting here, right next to you.
