Maybe I need to drink more scotch more often. LOL
Yesterday was a bad day as most. I did talk to one of the nurses with the transplant group. Well, that didn't go good at all. After asking if I could get back on the dobutemeine all the time, she said she had to talk in over with a doctor. She called back and told me NO! Due to the fact that they are afraid that I will get another infection. So now they are letting me just die. That is what I got out of that call.
Anyway, I'm still kicking and having a great day. I even put one of my boats in the water and went for a boat ride. It did leave me a bit tired, but I needed the sun.
Hope everyone else is having a good day!
God Bless,
Paul

Hi! Finally can get on site again. So glad to see a positive day for you. Bet that boat ride did feel great. Please try to get to talk with an actual doctor about your medication. I have found that there is nearly always at least a partial breakdown in communication when a third party is involved in two party communication. When you were in school, did your teachers ever whisper a statement in a student's ear at the front ofthe class and by the time it had been passed from student to student, it no.longer resembled the original statement? It was fun then but not so much in real life. I hope you can get a direct answer former what is best for you soon. Hopeful Heart

Hi Paul,
I don't check in here a lot any more but I must say that when I do I always check to see if you have posted anything because I find you such an inspiration and I continue to applaud you for never giving up.
I am so glad you had a chance to go out on your boat. Sometimes it is the little things in life that give us an emotional boost.
And I agree with Hope - when a 3rd person gets involved (especially when it comes to meds and our medical conditions) it seems to always get messed up. I always insist on speaking directly to the doctor who prescribed the med in the first place.
But I am positive you have firm handle on everything that is going on, just keep fighting!!!!!
Wishing you the very best and know that a lot of us think of you A LOT cuz we really care about you.
Pookie
Thanks all

Cathy, yes the wife loves it on the water as much as I do. She had to work today, so I was on my own. I guess we do need time to ourselves.
HH, I had this talk with the doctor that was on call just a week ago. They really don't think I could handle another infection. Oh, well!
TM, you are right and yes, they just are practicing medicine ! Scotch makers have it down to a science. LOL

Any day we hear from you makes my day a little brighter, and that you had a good day brighter still. I was out by the lake today and by golly the ice should all be gone by the week-end. Walleye season started this last week-end and most of our lakes up here were still ice covered, real downer. Still quite a bit of snow in the woods, we have short summers, snowed last week. Keep on keeping on, do the things that make you happy. Jean

I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.

I'm glad you are making the most of any good days you have. Does Mrs. Fishfighter ever go out in the boat with you?
