Hope to find everybody doing well. Myself, well lets just say I'm kicking. LOL
Anyway, I did have that talk with the kids yesterday along with some of my family. It was tough, but as I told them, I am planning on being around for some time to come.
My wife is feeding stuff that would put weight on anything, but I just don't feel like eating. I am forcing myself most of the time though.
The last few days were great days. Got outside and even did a little yard work. Of course it took a lot out of me, but felt good.
Tomorrow, I have to go to the local hospital for an IV drip of dobutamine. That suppose to take 6 hours. That will be a good time to do a little reading. The only thing is that the few days after I got out the hospital last Monday, I had some really bad chest pains for 2-3 days after. Nitro wasn't any help. If this drip does this to me again, I will stop all together.
Other then that, not much going on. I'm just trying to make the best of each day.
Take care and God Bless,
Paul

none of us know when its our time to go. My lovely son-in-law aged 46 died tragically in a motorbike racing accident 5 months ago, he was perfectly healthy, said goodbye to his wife in the morning and never came home. It has made us all more aware how we have to make the most of each day, love your family and laugh as often as you can. Battery is low so have to go now.
Cheers Jane
keep fighting!

And yes, I'm making the best of each day by first giving thanks to God.
Over all, it was a great weekend other then having a talk with the family.
Yesterday, I drank a few beers, boiled crawfish, shrimp and snow crabs. Man, that was some good stuff. Blew out the salt diet all together. LOL But you know what? Man can not live on grass alone. LOL
Today I have to go get that infusion at the local hospital. 6 hours, I am told. I'm going to give it a chance, but if by mid week I start with bad chest pains, I will not go back. Tomorrow, I have a doctors appointment with a VA doctor. I will be trying to get some help thru the VA for my meds. I fall under the old GI bill and just hope they can help me with the cost. If not, oh well.
God Bless and have a great day,
Paul

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.

It's good to hear you had a better day. Jane's right that we can't know when our time is to be. My sweet SIL, like hers, went to work one day and never came home. The Harley he was so proud of and used to commute on was hit by a truck and he probably never knew what hit him. He was only 50 and in great health, but that was no shield for him. Then we have our dear Frank, whose time has come. I suppose the moral is to take each day as it comes and give thanks for it, whether a great one or only so-so.
A smart person once told me "today is a gift, that's why it's called the present" I know we all hope and pray for your best outcome and know you are a fighter who won't give up easily.
