Good morning people

I was release from the hospital Monday afternoon. Got home and just had to lay out a couple days.

Well, the transplant team came in before cutting me loose. They dropped the bomb on me and my wife. I should of saw this coming months ago.

At this point, I'm listed as 1B on the transplant list. Been listed for almost 2 years at this level. I asked them if they were going to relist me up to 1A. That is when they told me and the wife that due to me loosing so much weight, they will not relist me. In fact that is when they told us that they are giving me about 6 months to live. Very shocking at first, but I knew it was coming the last few months with them trying to push me on hospice care.

Anyway I just told them flat out I'm not ready to throw in the towel. In fact I laugh at them.

So, the plan now is to try to build up my body and try to put on some weight.

Mean time, I will be going to the local hospital once a week for an IV fusion of dobutamine .and blood work. The infusion takes about 6 hours, so I'm told.

Yesterday, I went to the DMV to get a new drivers lic after having the paperwork done. The lady that gave me a hard time took my paperwork and she stated that it will only be good for two years. Of course I laugh, holding back tears. At this point, that is all I can do.

Hope y'all's day goes good! God bless,
Paul

Start eating lasagna if you can and live every day to the fullest! Show them you can put that weight back on.

When I met with the dietician at my transplant clinic, she told me she liked the weight I was at and didnt want me losing any. Now I can see why she said that to me.

We're here for you anytime,

Cathy

Thanks all

It is time for another family talk. The wife and I so far did not tell our kids or the rest of the family. So, come next weekend, we will let the cat out the bag.

I been getting my ducks in a row so to speak. Still have a few things left to do. From there, I will get back to working on my bucket list. My wife is keeping after me to try to do a few of the things on it. And NO, I'm not looking to jump out a plane. LOL

So I want to thank each one of y'all for the prays and support.

God Bless,
Paul

I hope you have got good support and fun people to be around, as laughter is so good.

Hi Paul,

Get your ducks in a row, let the cat out of the bag to your family, work on your bucket list, then kick ass and prove them all wrong, just like Ian said!

You're going to need all of our prayers, and you've got em! We've already lost Frank. We're not ready to let you go too!

Keep up the fight! You never know when you might get that call "We have a heart for you Paul!" If I could give you mine, I would. :(

Prove them wrong Paul !!!
