Good morning all

Just to let ya'll know that I'm back home. Only one night stay this trip. Thank God for that. They did get a few pounds of fluid off me. They also doubled my dubutamine. My hickman line is still pluged on one side. I have to go back next Friday for a check up and to see if they can unplug it. If not, they will have to put a new one in. That will be number 5 in 14 months.

Doubling the dubutamine has it problems. Kind of lite headed and off blance. My heart is working much more as I can feel it beating in my chest all the time now. As to how much longer it will last, that is up to God. They are now pushing an LVD even more, but I would like to go longer with what I have.

On a side note. I did get a few chances to see my uncle. He happen to be just down the hall. The transplant team is working there butts off and now has him up and walking. He looked great, but still has a long road to recover. Just last week, the doctors in Baton Rouge told him to get everything in order. That doctor gave up on him. Unreal! That doctor just didn't know how country strong my uncle is.

Anyway, hope all is good for ya'll. God Bless,
Paul

My doctor also tells me to keep doing everything I am doing. It's good for me physically and mentally.

Yes, I am still going through the tests. I have my first official appointment with my transplant clinic on March 23rd. I dont know what all I do at it but they said its a 2 hour appointment. I know I get to meet everyone there. I've talked on the phone to several of them but havent met them in person yet.

Next step is my heart cath and then they will let me know if they think I need one of the IV meds like you have. All kinds of fun! :)

Rest?

No time for that now. LOL I push it every day as if it is my last. My team knows this and tells me to go for it, but lisen to my body, which I do.

Today I feel much better. Guess I'm adjusting to the doubling of the dubutamine and more blood flow. I did talk to a couple LVAD people when I was in the hospital. They too had went thru the dubutamine treatment like me. One lasted 1 year and a second lasted a little over 2 years. Myself, I'm at 14 months on it. Only time will tell how far I will go. They now demand blood work every week and sometimes twice a week if my numbers drop.

How are you doing? Still going thru the test?

Take care,
Paul
