Been some time from my last post. I hope to find everyone doing fine. Myself, I been doing great. In fact I been doing really great! Has been a long time feeling good for the past month. I just hope these string of days keep going. I been getting out and about a lot. Something about fall that brings me alive. LOL Hunting season is here. YES! That in itself gets the old pumper going every time we get a cool front.

We just finished our Teal(duck) season which is a very short hunting season of just 17 days. Guess what? I was feeling so good that I had hunted 12 days of it. Yes, it took it toll a few of those days, but with the help of my Son and my Daughter taking me, mind over matter made it work. God, it is just so nice to get outdoors. Even when it came to the hunting, I had enjoyed just working the birds in. Nothing like it in the world with a breaking sunlight as the birds circle 3, 4 times before they drop in on your decoys knowing that your duck calling along with the way you had setup that morning before daylight would make or break a hunt. As the sun flickers off the birds feathers, colors one just doesn't see every day.


As ya'll can tell, I'm feeling very good. Heath wise, well lets just say that I had put on a few pounds. About 5 which is real weight. Not fat or fluid weight. It has made me feel better or so I tell myself. I will be heading to New Orleans on the 12th for a checkup. Even have a nurse coming today which happens once a week. Other then that, I'm hanging in there. I just hope my string of good days keep coming.
