Vertigo?

Ever had this before? Last friday, I was bent over and when I stood up, I liked to fell on my butt. Here it is Tuesday and I been fighting this all along. Just sitting still, it feels like I been on a boat at sea for a week.

I did call my doctor. It is at the point that I fell today. Also my blood pressure is all over the place more then the norm.

Now if the room would just stop rocking.

Trip to New Orleans

Got that call. I have to head to New Orleans Thursday. Also, one side of my hickman is pluged and I been flushing it to break free. WRONG thing to do. Was told not to flush it anymore till they can inject some drugs in it.

Was planning a hunting trip this coming saturday with my brother and daughter. Openning Teal season. One of a few things I look forward to. This trip is below New Orleans, but have to drive thru it. OHHHHH,WELLLL.

The problem has to do with the inner ear. You may have an inner ear infection. It can also be caused by the fluid in the inner ear forming small crystals that stimulate the sensing hairs. A sudden change in posture can dislodge them and cause vertigo. Us old timers are more likely to have it happen. I find that keeping well hydrated helps me. I think I have read that some meds can cause it as well.

I have a cure but I wouldn't recommend it. I was having vertigo enough to be a problem when it happened. The phone rang waking me from a nap on the couch. I jumped up and headed for the hall to a phone. I was just entering the hall when the vertigo hit me. I reached for the wall, missed, and hit my head a good one on it.. After landing on the floor I realized that the vertigo was gone. In fact that was the end of it for several years.

My guess was that the bump on the head knocked the crystals out of the hairs and they found some other resting place.
