Good morning all

Just a quick check in. We made it thru the storm somewhat good. Didn't get all that rain which stayed to my east, but it did pass right over us. WE did loose power for a couple days, but I did have a genset to power up most things. Family wise, my kids did good too! Now one of my brother n laws had a couple families that lived in the area that flooded out. Was told that the water only took 1 hour to reach 10'. Not good for those people. One had just finished building there house. Other family members are still out of power as of yesterday and I did asked them to come even before the storm, but they stayed in place. This storm was just a puppy, but one heck of a rain maker to the east of it along with moving real slow. The sound of wind gets very tiresome after 36+ hours.

Health wise, I made it thru. I did have a hard time breathing due to no AC in the day time. At night, I was able to run the AC to get a little sleep. That and I did have a problem just after the storm of putting on extra fluid weight. Still carring some, but working to get it off with extra meds. My transplant team and home bound nurses were great thru all this. They did stay in touch with me all the time. In fact, the transplant team wanted me to go into the hospital, but I turn them down just knowing they may need the room for somebody else.

Anyway, I have a appointment with them Wensday. That long ride again. Good thing is that my daughter is coming and she will drive. She drives like Dad. LOL

I hope everybody else is doing good and for those that are not, lift your head. There is always tomorrow.

God bless, Paul

Just wondering: did you hsve your genset ready to go in a boat just in case? You could fit it with some styro outriggers and tether it to the bow. LOL

Glad all went well. I hope you get your heart soon. From the news I have been reading, technology is not that far away from making an artificial that will work long term. They've managed to come up with a short to medium term one already. Before, they couldn't keep you going more than a day before serious problems set in.

Anyway, thanks for the update and good luck.

My goodness you have had a lot to deal with. I am relieved to know that you are ok, and feel badly for the ones who have lost so much. Storms are just an awful thing and can be so destructive.

I will keep you all in my prayers....
Be safe,
