Pacemaker check info

Hi been awhile since i posted but have a question about the info on the read out on % of pacing it reads
as-vs 31.7
as-vp <0.1
ap-vs 63.3
ap-v0 <0.1
mvp on

basically wondering what is pacing at what percentage
lol after 8 yrs you would think i would know this stuff well thanks in advance . i hope everyone is keeping warm and safe
thanks Valerie

as-vs 31.7 - Both are sensed - meaning that they work on their own as designed.

as-vp <0.1 - Atrial sensed, Ventricles paced

ap-vs 63.3 - Atrial paced, Ventricles sensed

ap-v0 <0.1 - Atria paced, ventricles paced

In summary, your Atria pace 63.4% of the time & Ventricles pace .2% of the time.

Really not too shabby. Congrats!

mvp on - Managed Ventricular Pacing is turned ON. This is a Medtronic algorithm that minimizes Ventricular pacing to reduce the probability of developing A-Fib. To read more, Google search for "mvp, pacemaker" & it should be the first entry at the top, from Medtronic.

Hi Valerie!

as = atrial sensing
vs = ventricular sensing
ap = atrial pacing
vp = ventricular pacing

So, 31.7% of the time your pacer just senses the atria and ventricles (it "watches" what they are doing), without needing to pace. In 63.3% of the time, the pacemaker paces in the atrium, but still only senses the ventricles. You are not paced in your ventricles at all.

MVP on means that Medtronic's feature to "managed ventricular pacing" it switched on. This feature helps to reduce the amount of ventricular pacing to an absolute minimum. It does so by not pacing you out of every single heart block, but by waiting until a defined number of blocks appears in a defined period of time.

Hope this helps.
