Hi all. I received my PM June 11. Recovery was going well. At 4 weeks PO I had a mishap. Someone tripped in front of me as i was sitting and reflexively I reached out and caught her so she didn't fall right onto me. It happened in a split second. I used my left arm which basically had been immobile 4weeks. It seems I may have torn my pectoral muscle under PM. Doc had me watch and wait a week. No improvement. Pain is unbearable at times. Right after, I had a couple days of brady symptoms though not as bad as pre-PM. I am heart broken. I go in Thursday to Cardiologist and PM clinic for check. I don't even know why I'm sharing except I am so distraught about this setback in recovery.

Injured pectoral

It's crazy- I was so cautious those first 4 weeks. Wore sling round clock 2 weeks then only at night. Then a silly accident causes all kinds of trouble. It will be interesting to see how they examine the muscle injury without MRI. I am so bummed about this. Really wanted to get back to some normal activities. Can't do a thing now with the injured arm. PM site swollen and sore. Ugggg! Thanks for your replies. I will let you know what I find out.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Hopefully it is not too bad.
If it's any consolation, you did a very nice thing by catching her and probably prevented a major injury for her.
Hope it goes well for you at the Doctors.

Feeling better already! Thanks for your support. I have to remain hopeful it isn't torn. For a person like me who lives in her head too much I have to remember to "get out of my head and back into my life". I will keep you posted.
