I had a replacement pacer put in 1 week ago. Other one was 10 years old. It was in limp mode for 3 weeks before replacement during that time I was dizzy 24/7. After the new one was put in I felt better right away. The original settings of the old one were programed. My question is I took it easy for a week but as you can see by my name last night I went bowling. 1 week after the surgery. It is an easy surgery and I feel pretty good. However after 1 and 1/2 games I was so tired I could hardly get going. My legs were getting sore and very tired. I was losing concentration. My whole body hurt. I did not think that easy surgery could knock you out like that. I am going to up my work outs now to gain back strength. But I was amazed that this could be so hard on the body. What do you think and has anyone else experienced this after replacement? Should I just build back up or go back to my DR?

Give them a call. They set it as close to your old settings as possible, but often the new ones have new settings and new features so you still might need some tweaking.
Have you been eating right and staying hydrated?

I had my first Pacemaker fitted almost 7 weeks ago, aged 17 due to Total Heart Block. 1 week after having it fitted I felt well so went Shopping with my Mom and Younger Sister. I was fine for the first hour or so but after that I began getting really tired so sat down for a while. When home I fell straight to sleep and woke but a couple hours later with bad pains in chest. I went to the hospital and they said that I had a viral infection and had probably over done it a bit. But pacemaker was still working great so they wasn't too worried.
So maybe just go Dr to make sure everything is still working good.

I was seriously ill before my pm implant... I used a walker for about a week after surgery... a cane for another 2 weeks... and suddenly felt better than I had in a long time... and walking briskly without assistance is now an ongoing joy!
Checking in with your doctor is always a good choice/

I wouldn't be here if it were not for this amazing technology inside of me.

My Doc told me that they restored all my old settings after my replacement. It didn't take me long to figure-out that they raised (inadvertently, I am sure) my lower setting from 50 to 60 bpm. The pacer Tech needed the Doc's approval before she could lower it from 60 back down to 50.
My point is simply that Tracey is right, you might need a little tweaking. It is possible that something was inadvertently changed and nobody is aware, except your body!
Better to be safe than sorry,
