Any pace friends in Sydney, Au.

My wife and i are traveling to Sydney from March 1st. through March 4th we have never been to Australia. I just wondered if we had any members there willing to help show us around or give us some hints about what we should try to see. We are getting there on a cruise ship and are also going to cruise back to the U.S.
We are also going to be in New Zealand for some stops. Let me know what towns you are in and I will get back to you with dates and times we will be there. Our time in New Zealand will be late Feb. and again in Early March. Bowlrbob You can private message if you want. I will check in each day for awhile. Thanks my Pacer friends.

Is a beautiful city. You said you are arriving on a cruise ship - is your time in Sydney a stopover on the cruise, or are you leaving the ship? If you are leaving the ship you could venture further afield, but if you are staying on it you would probably prefer to do some day trips.
Where to start? Some time on the harbour - maybe not what you want after cruising for days but there are a number of options. Jet boat, sailboat, the iconic Manly ferry. Hop off at Manly and take a walk around to Shelly Beach, Stopping along the way for lunch or coffee.
Climb the Harbour Bridge for amazing views (Oprah did it although scared witless), or walk across it. The Botanic Gardens and The Rocks historic precinct are both close to the cruise terminals. The skywalk
In the Centrepoint tower if you have a head for heights.
Farther afield The Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley wineries can both be covered in a day trip - you should be able to organise a bus tour for both, but not on the same day.
3 days isn't long enough to see too much of Australia - you could fly to Queensland for the Barrier Reef or to The Red Centre for Ayers' Rock but you wouldn't fit much else in I'm afraid, and it would be expensive .
