Will a portable ECG work with a Pacemaker? I have been looking at some on ebay.

"The AliveCor Mobile ECG has not been tested for accuracy with paced-ECG recordings. We do not recommend use of the AliveCor Mobile ECG for users with pacemakers because we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the resulting ECG recordings."
That comment is from their FAQ list. I have an ICD and am not typically/routinely paced. I emailed them and asked if it would work on me. Their Medical Team responded that it would, but recommended that I not lay it directly over my ICD to conduct a tracing.
I ordered one of their units which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Been experiencing PVC's over the last few days and want to capture some of them to discuss with my Cardiologist. Plus, I like to know what is going on with my body!

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

The EKG will work.
But when pacing and depending on which chamber is paced the EKG pattern will be different.
If it has automatic analysis that probably will not be accurate.
