replacement

Hi Everyone,
last monday I went in to have my pm & lead changed. All went well.

on Sunday I started feeling like the symptoms I had before I had the pm changed had come back. I am feeling tired all the time, slightly breathless after going up the stairs & have intermittant palpitations. do you think this might just be post operative stress or should I go have it checked out. I don't like running to the clinic everytime I have a slight flutter.

I do have a follow up appointment with them next week. should I wait until then?

thanks

Katherine

When in doubt, call and ask if they want to see you. Better to call for nothing than tough it out when it's something.

New PM Settings

Hi Kat,

Did the Doctor verify that your new PM had the same settings as the old PM? For example, if Rate Response was set up differently, if could affect how you feel.

Another possibly would be the sensing/ pacing settings, again they should be the same as your old one.

I think it's worth a call to at least ask-

Hi!! I would probably call the dr.
Is this your first replacement of your icd and wires? I'm about to see my EP next week for the first replacement, my original was implanted 6 years ago., .
You said here it went good! That's great to hear., just wondering how long did it take them to give you your new icd and wires.,? Like a couple hours? And did you have to spend the night as a inpatient?

You know you're wired when...

Your favorite poem is “Ode to a Cardiac Node”.
