I have had the 2 lead pacemaker for two and a half years for SSS. First few weeks I had some stabing type pains but that stopped. Only occasionally after that I would feel a little blip but nothing most of the time. Last couple of weeks I get a series of rather sharp pains in pacemaker/heart area and then it stops. I hate it when it happens when I am in the grocery with my gradson like just now. I see the actual cardiologist for a regular checkup in a week and it's not easy to get a appointment. I really don't want to call doctor's office because it's difficult to get through and the recording says go to ER if you think it's a emergecy. I want to know if others have this happen and if you would wait for appointment. I want to go about my busiess with Thanksgiving doings without so much worry. I am a 73 year old female with no other ailmentts, no artery blockages at all. Is the PM just having to kick in more often ad that is not an urgent problem. Sorry to be a sissy.

I'm not an alarmist, nor am I saying there's something wrong in your case... as I wouldn't know. BUT I DO go to the ER when I 'feel' something arwy in my chest, when I have AFIBS or pressure or pains.
My ER employees (nurses/drs) ALL say to NOT take chances with heart issues. ANYTIME, any pain, they say to not feel 'silly'.... better safe than sorry.
What can they say, "Follow up with your dr." Well, since you already have the appt, lol, you will be doing just that!
Good luck.
