I recently had a new pocket made for a replacement pacemaker. I was sutured with non-dissolvable stitches which have to come out in a couple of days. At both ends of the row of sutures there are white plastic bobbles. Has anyone any idea what these are called and why they are used? Curious, as one is burying itself into my skin.

No Mike its not glue they are white bobbles! They are both ends and I can turn them around. Exactly the same size and shape lol. I'm due to have the stitches out today. They didn't use glue to close the wound. This time they used non-dissolvable stitches. Anyrate, , mystery will be solved today! I'll let you know lol

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

I think what you're seeing is part of the glue they use to close Your wound! I kept feeling these for a while after my implantation! They finally fall off in the shower! Nothing to worry about! Pastor Mike
