Now that I talked to the cardiologist, he says I will be okay with my type of PM so I ask my fellow PM Club members what is the best advice you can give me to help with the altitude, for example someone mentioned we should drink plenty of water to counteract any effects of the altitude.

I am sure all the others have given you the best advice, but when I lived near Mammouth Lakes in Ca. we were told to have a piece of chocolate to prevent altitude sickness. It did seem to work or perhaps it was just the great chocolate. Just enjoy. Ann

Ann, what a great excuse to have more chocolate, just be sure it's dark chocolate because that's supposed to be good for the heart! (:~ )
You know you're wired when...
Youre officially battery-operated.

I now live at 6500 ft in NM which is not quite as high as CO but I learned when moving here from a much lower place, that it's the lungs that suffer from the altitude more than the heart. The air contains less oxygen (less pollution too) so you need to breathe deeply, and as mentioned, keep hydrated because the air is also much drier than you are probably used to.
With all that caution, please just relax and have fun. Worrying would just spoil that LOL
