I saw the gastroenterologist/liver specialist yesterday and have been referred to a surgeon in Hobart for a biliary bypass. Should know next week when the appointment is. Our holiday trip is definitely off as Brian will find out on l6 April if he has to have spinal surgery. My mantra at present: one day at a time.
Thanks too everyone for all your good wishes.
Billie

Hi Billie,
When it rains it pours, I hope you and Brian will be able to put this all behind you in the next few weeks and take care of what ever needs to be addressed, so both of you can take a nice needed vacation.
Take care,
Casper

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so very much for sending me a card; received it a few days ago. You are so thoughtful.
I will email you at your regular address in a few days or so and update you with what's going on in my neck of the woods. Please say hello to Brian for me and you know I am sending you good wishes and prayers.
Luvyah,

Unforntunately, my surgery wil lbe in Hobart a five hour drive away from where we live and my husband's will be in Melbourne on mainland Australia. We live in Tasmania. Haven't worked out the logistics yet. We have some assistance in that a lady comes in on Thursdays for two hours. Our heating is is a heat pump which heats/cools - air con so it is only a case of a switch. I usually pack the freezer with pre-made meals to get through tough times. Fortuanately there is just Brian and I at home and the dog. We have friends who are touring in their caravan and they have offered to return and help. Any tips anyone can give me for coping I appreciate. Hope your shoulder is healed now. Great to hear from you. Thanks for the support.
