It would be great even to have a regional gathering as you say. I have so many friends through pm group, in Canada and would welcome a trip to attend a get together and finally meet my pm friends.

As you say about hospitals and support groups. I attempted to let my EP know of this wonderful support group for pm recipients and he was just not interested. What is it with these folks do they think they are the fountain of know it all as to what it is like to have a pm or defib Surely they are just the mechanics of the workings.
There is a great difference. I felt a litle angry over this incidence and was surprised having received such great service and treatment from this hospital. It is like we are not allowed to discuss our problems. There is a great difference between the text book workings and the real world.

We talked about possibly doing something in Canada this fall but I think between Blake's life being crazy busy and minimal interest when we surveyed the members, any plans are on hold at the moment. We had a BLAST in Tampa a few years ago, great weekend, would love to do it again.

I have a feeling some doctors don't like patients who are very informed, it makes them feel a little threatend and off their game.

I found it amusing you mentioned one of the doctors acting like he could have been a politician at one time.

I've run into a couple of doctors like that in the past year, and fortuantely for me, I've been able to choose more reliable and trustworthy doctors.
