It is New Year's Eve here in Australia. 2012 was a difficult year for myself. I am feeling optimistic that next year will be better. Our house is on the market and please fellow pm members could you say a prayer to St Joseph for us or any other prayer,or positive thinking that it will sell soon. My husband is suffering awful problems with glaucoma. He is waiting to see if he has to have the trapdoor operation on his left eye in order to arrest the blindness that is developing. We need to change our lives to cope with his problem Is there any other member who has had this operation? Our proposed trip round Australia has been cancelled.
I am glad Christmas is over for many reasons, we never hear from our sons and we have never been allowed to see our five? grandchildren. It has broken our hearts and as I say I have the proof beating in my chest We were good parents and gave them everything, but they did not marry the nicest of nature females. Earlier this year our son walked out on his wife as he could not take anymore. I think of the years our family was destroyed but it is too late now. He cannot reconcile with the fact of the damage that was done to us and which forced us to quietly move to the other end of Australia..My key chain says: "It wasn't me" how come mothers get the bame for everything?
I wish all my pm friends a really good year and sincerely thank you for all your support over the years. You are too many to name individually. There are times when I have felt so alone and desolate and switched on my computer to find friends and support like no other. Thank you all again you have brought so much into my life.

Sorry if that came out wrong, but I can't imagine being without my sons but I can imagine them marrying the wrong women!!! like my brothers. But I hope and pray they will have a relationship like I have with my husbands mother, which happens to be one of my best friends,(she is actually coming to see the cardiologist in london next month, Papworth)
just setting my record straight.
Nite and happy New Year to you on the down below place!!!

it is not always the fault of the mother for sure. it is up to adult children to sort out what is important and what is not. i am sure you did your best by them even if not to their liking. i know you educated all of them which is no small feat. you wanted them to have a chance in this competitive world we live in. some children have no chance at all. still praying you seel the house soon so you can get on with it. my new years plan is to read to people in nursing homes. it is always nice to talk with older people and learn about their lives. jessie

Billie, I'm also from that wonderful country,Australia, , {I can hear the moans of jealousy from the other posts} I've had a duel PM for eight years and am waiting for the call to have it replaced. I tire very easily, the same feeling as when testing, they turn pm off. Have been on Pradaxa trial now for 18months,all going well.
In regards to your husbands glaucoma,My wife lost her eyesight to glaucoma as it was picked up too late.and I believe is irreversible, the Docs will do their best to save what eyesight is left in a patient, but they must obey all instruction, for their own benefit. seth

To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!
you can choose friends but unfortunaletely not family

in some cases it is best to turn the other cheek so to speak. even with some family so it seems. wishing a speedy sale so you and brian can get on with moving to a more suitable home with not as much work. hugs..jessie
