Hi all
I thought it might be nice if we all post some messages to donr, to wish him a speedy recovery, best wishes, get well soon...or a message to lift his spirits. He has been through a lot these past 11-12 days & I thought he might appreciate some kind words from all his friends on here. So I'll start off & hope lots of you will add your messages to him here.......

Dear Don: You and electric frank were the first people I ever talked to in the pacemaker club. You gave much needed advice and support when I needed it. and I am looking forward to more of your great comments and humor. You are a very strong person , after all you survived Viet Nam. You are going to feel stronger every day and be ready for all of our pacemaker questions real soon. God Bless You And Your Family . I hope your daughter whos a doctor is making housecalls to your house..RMGD

Don,you have been so instrumental in my making it thus far with my PM,I cant believe its been almost a year now.
You have been THE MOST HELPFUL in times when I was losing it,and needed answers and encouragement.
I want you to know, that I have been thinking about you a lot, keeping you in my prayers,I hope things go well, and a speedy and complete recovery to you.
Your messages to me have always been nothing short of entertaining, along with all the experience and knowledge you have.
I will continue to pray for you and your family, and hope your girls are handling you well!
Take care my southern friend!

I am a newcomer to this brilliant forum, your comments in your post about what your wife believes that you cannot do because you have a pacemaker, I broke into loud laughter, hubby thought I was losing it lol. I am really looking forward to seeing your posts and comments in the future. Sending positive thoughts and prayersx Beth

man is it ever GREAT news that you are home and recovering...you have no idea how you were missed by all here at PM Club...had us worried, but now we are all anxiously awaiting your return..we all missed your knowledge, your wittty responses & funny stories, but mostly your charm and warmth, and your genuine caring & concern for others here. Glad to still have you around pal...guess all the prayers and positive energy we sent your way made it thru somehow...I'm still thinking & sending positive thoughts and energy your way...take good care of yourself...but hurry back...we miss you

Hi Don, As everyone else, this Don has also been concerned. After all, your surgery was not a "piece of cake". Hopefully every day now will bring you back to normal. As I've had so many surgeries over the years but not any like you just had. Must say, I have had my share of lower gut problems having had the hospital bug a number of times. So just thinking about your surgery brings me "pucker thoughts". Bright Days ahead
for you from the other Don

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
