I'm hardly ever this way
But I just can't think of anything funny to say
The day light is fading faster
and I still haven't been able to master
getting everything done in one day.
I miss Cabg Patch
I wish he would come back
but understand his reasons,
but laughter is what we lack.
I just keep on pluggin',
my shoulders keep on shruggin'
with the daily grind
trying to keep a peace of mind, I guess.
And then, there's still this hunk of metal
in my chest.
Keeps on ticking, makes me sing,
Ode to my wonderful internal "BLING".
If I can't ever think of anything that I'm thankful for
the scar reminds me of what it was like before,
and all I can do is smile as I look at far I've come along,
and I sing just like the song....
"what a long strange trip it's been."
