Scaners

Hi the company I work for are making me be scanned with one of those held hand scaners they use it on me up to 5 times a day . I told them I have a pacemaker they say it's fine but since working there I feel unwell .. Any advise .. Thanks

It is your right to refuse being wanded and ask for a pat down no matter what attitude the people you work for or the security give you. I don't care what "they" say about that being safe. If you feel unwell, stand up for yourself. Bring your pm I.d. card along, too. You have a perfectly good reason for refusing the wand. Better not to have your settings reset.

My EP doctor told me not to be scanned. I carry my ID card always with me and with that they are suppose to know not to scan you. At security I get patted down because I cannot be scanned but I had rather do it that way that than something changing my settings. Best of luck to you.
