More info on endless pain?

HI again everyone! I am writing my next chapter in this crazy saga.....

Thank you to all for your suggestions and concerns. I am pursuing every one that I can.

I just had another scan called a gallium scan done to see about infection and/or inflammation. I retrieved the report myself as it was sent to the wrong doctor. It came back mostly inconclusive; the only thing I had was a "faint" spot on the scan around the pacemaker, possibly indicative of infection or inflammation. If this was truly infected, however, I think it would have been much more obvious--especially since I started having my bizarre pacer problems two years ago that were initially blamed on infection (and none could be found). Otherwise, it's the first indication of inflammation there is so far, but is too nonspecific. So unfortunately, this just adds fuel to the fire of frustration.

Now I wait to hear from the doc. I was considering all the other information provided to me on this site, especially the SVC syndrome info. I will be discussing the possibility of SVC syndrome with the doc--as I recall, a few pacers ago when I got my wires, my doc at the time (the same doc) had one heck of a time trying to get them inside me. In fact, he had such a hard time that I was almost going to do venography during the implant procedure. I had to placed in an inverted position also. But he never went that far with the venogram and got the wires in. That expected 2 hour surgery went 4 1/2 hours. Actually, as I look back, all my pacer procedures had been difficult. Ever since I received my first pacer in 1995 I have had nothing but problems.

Anyhow, that's where it stands until I hear from the doc about what to do next. At minimum, there is a whole lot of irritation and inflammation going on with that pacer side--and we don't know why.

Thanks everyone for listening and your support.
Dodi
