I am 50 yrs old and i have had a pacemaker since the age of nine, i am pacemaker dependent, which to me is a lot different, then when you are not pacemaker dependent, mentally and emotionally it has had its share of problems because of that, i also feel very lucky as crazy as it sounds because if i didnt have it i wouldnt be here so many diseases there are no cures, hope you are doing well if you ever need to talk about it or anything, just respond via Private Message System, jill p.s. i live in nj, hope thats ok!

Evening John, I have been 100% paced for the past 6 years and had my 1st replacement this past Janaury.
Been Zapped twice, last December and this past August.
1st time in China the other on the vacation from hell.
1st hit not so bad, the one in August sucked, 2 hits and it was something that will drop you to your knees.
I live in Firestone, close enough to you, and have had very godd dealings with the folks @ Boulder Cardiology; (Drs. Thompson & White).
I work full time and travel way too much. And life is as it should be. A live. :) But in the past two years my EF has dropped a lot and I am not physically either who I want to be or what I was. I've started considering my bucket list, but with the ecomony the way it is thats gonna be a far cry , from not a chance in hell. Oh well shit happens and we keep on plugn.
This is a good site with a lot of good people looking out for each other. And if you would like any other support or information I can pass along, just hit me up. gdoble57@yahoo.com
You know you're wired when...
You invested in the Energizer battery company.

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
No PM yet

I live in the Longmont area, I'm 23 and, I guess, on my way to a PM. I had endocarditis during basic military training when I joined the AF a couple of years ago which might have blown out my SA node. I've been told it's hard to treat and a PM might not be what I need. I am getting the ZIO patch tomorrow and wearing that for a couple of weeks. Anywhos, kinda small world :) was just browsing the forum as someone had recommended it to me and saw this post :) Longmontians unite!
