I may be needlessly concerned about something that isn't even a problem but this is what happened to me last week...
Here it is:
I have a St Jude dual PM. Here is what I have found to be a concern of mine.
New Keyless start cars. This car is loaded with so many electronic gadgets that I can't even begin to list them... This is what happened. My friend bought a new car and we went for a ride. 4 blocks later I was nauseated, dizzy and feeling very tired. I had a weird feeling in my chest. My friend looked at me and he asked "What's wrong you look grey" We stopped the car and took a walk, we were looking at a new building to purchase so we were there about 45 min. We got back in the car for the return trip... same situation happened. So now when we go anywhere together he has to ride in my beetle. :-)
QUESTIONS:
1.) Has anyone had a similar experience with new cars with GPS, internet screen, Phone, remote key-less START and cameras etc. This car's dash is like a mobile command center!
2.) Did you experience any symptoms and when did they go away
3.) Do you think the future is going to become more electric and it's going to be a problem for us PM/ICD patients?
4.) Am I needlessly concerned ?

I read that it's the keyless entry, and also electric cars can be a problem. I've only ridden in one car, a Toyota, that had the keyless entry and I felt fine. I've also been in a few electric cars and felt fine but if you got sick I doubt it's a coincidence. I have gps, cameras, phone, etc and have never had a problem. I do not have, and probably will avoid, keyless entry and start.
I would not be concerned long term. It may be something we have to avoid but 1) it's uncomfortable not dangerous and 2) it's not economically sound for them to not work on the problem in the future and 3) electric cars are nowhere close to taking over, they're fighting for their life. There are way too many of us out here and the liability is too high so I suspect they'll be working on it. Maybe I've got my rose glasses on, I dunno, but I'm not worried. Though I would pick your adorable Beetle over the funky gadgets your friend has.

I drive a hybrid with no problems. It also has keyless start GPS etc. No problems there either. I had the same concerns as a newbie. The car's manual says avoid the main storage battery and wheel motors when in operation, which is easy as a driver or passenger. Would be an issue for a mechanic. On the other hand , a beetle sounds like more fun!

I have a 2013 Altima and felt very weird the other day while riding in my car ( very awkward beating heart and dizziness). This definitely makes sense!
You know you're wired when...
Microwave ovens make you spark.

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
Thanks Tracey

He bought The 2013 Hyundai® Elantra loaded with every add-on a guy can get. And you are right... I'll take my beetle over his car any day. :-)
I'm not kidding you, that car makes me want to puke! hee hee that could be dangerous for his interior! hahahah I make myself laugh out loud.
I haven't ridden in a VOLT or the Prius or other "Electric" cars. I would like to try one though.
I was Probably thinking about how much money he paid for a car that makes me (his friend) sick! hahaha there I did it again, I'm laughing!
