Helllooooo and Welcome

I was just reading the latest postings and I see that there are quite a few new members coming onboard. Firstly let me extend a warm "rhythmic" welcome to you. Sorry we have to meet under these circumstances, but it's going to be ok for the most part. :)

The Pacemaker Club is a fine assortment of people from many different countries and walks of life as well as many ages... from infants (parents type for them) to senior citizens. (We can type for ourselves), but I tend to leave out words here and there.

Many of us have learned to expand our sense of humor about the thing that keeps us going, which is our pacemakers!

So, welcome! We will try to answer your questions as best we can, depending on our personal experiences.

I joined this PM site in May, 2009, had many questions, fears, etc. when learning I would be getting a PM. I found this site by just stumbling around online, just hoping to find anyone to talk to about a PM.

The minute I posted, several commented right back to me. They assured me I was not the only one in the World getting a PM, that there is a life after an implant, how much fun they have and still work hard, have Children, etc. I had my implant on 11/2009.

Without the many members on here who helped me thru my UNknown of the PM implant, I would not have made myself get one. A few who answered me w/i minutes after my first post was, ElectricFrank, Smitty, Pacergirl, Blue, Pookie, TracyE, Cabg Patch, Donr, Donb, and so many others I can't even begin to post. All of them had very Xperienced posts/comments, years of knowledge from their own PM situations. I LUV the PM site.

I can still, after all these years, come back to the PM site and ask questions, concerns and/or make comments and still have my wonderful PM Friends help me.
