Sensors

Happy New Year 2014!
I have a new St Jude PM2210, 1388T/46, 1346T/52
It was installed on Dec. 20th. Easy surgery but could not walk the dog without being short of breath.
On Dec. 31st they activated the sensor for my activity. My pacer is set at 70 but it has been around 90 (when quiet) and 125 after a slow walk. It does not returned to 70 unless it is in the middle of the night. My BP is also up to 190 at night now. It is a holiday so I get no help from Scripps Clinic here in San Diego.
I have Merlin but had to transmit manually. I was surprised to read the insurance co will have a daily charge...guess I won't use that with my new policy. Merlin really only transmits anyway and my dad did that with Mayo Clinic 40 years ago.
Does anyone have any ideas of what St Jude should do tomorrow to tweak the sensor so that my pulse will return to 70 when I am not active.
One feels so helpless when the pacemaker rules one life,
Thanks,
Ev

There are a number of sensitivity settings. Tell them what is happening, they will know what to do! It's common to take several tries to get the rate response just right. No two people are alike so this is not at all unusual.

It will not rule your life forever! Most of us get through the initial adjustment, heal, then move on and forget about it.

You know you're wired when...

You can take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’.
