I know I haven't posted in a long time, but I do read the posts. I was implanted with a St Judes CRT-D in June of 2009, and have done very well, none of the issues that seem to be consistently discussed in this forum.I have no pain, no shocks, no worries! I recently went to see my cardiologist in Salt Lake City and miracles of miracles, he was able to turn off my pacemaker! My LBBB had DISAPPEARED! MY EF was up to 62% from 28%! So now I'm just on hold I suppose-battery has about a year left or more now that I'm not paced 100%. I think my doctor, for whom I have the greatest respect and confidence in, was surprised as well. I think the secret (at least for me) is consistency in medications and mild exercise ( I scour the desert looking for rocks-up and down the hills for hours). I take a lot of minerals including potassium, magnesium, and calcium, a low-dose aspirin, Coreg, Lisinopril, multi-vit, and Furosemide daily, faithfully. I try to maintain a positive attitude and keep in mind that this little pacer is my buddy and not some foreign sinister machine. Life is GOOD! Those that are struggling, keep your chin up!

I didn't know LBBB could disappear. That's wonderful!
I'm on a similar regimen of meds, vitamins and exercise. I think being diligent with that has helped me too. Not expecting mine to disappear though.
Great News!

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.

Grateful, Thank you for your comment. I did not know that LBBB could just go away either but it has. I'll get checked again in 6 months, so will see if it stays away. Keep up with what you are doing and maybe you will see the same results-one never knows!
