What does it feel like?

Really, really new user here: just implanted on Monday July 18....didn't get to ask a lot of questions before my implant procedure (Dual Lead PM: Medtronic) for alternating bundle branch blocks.

My most pressing question for other wired folks: what doe the "jolt" feel like? I'm told some can feel being zinged (what word do you use?) I'm having odd heart pain (not chest pain, but deep in my chest pain occasionally all day. Didn't have chest pain before procedure...

Strange vibration

My pacemaker was implanted 5 months ago tomorrow! It has been a journey.  That is for another post.  Overall, I have been feeling quite well. Two days ago I felt a light intermittant vibration in my lower left abdomen.  At first, I thought it was my stomach growling.  This is different and it has been going on for about 36 hours now. It comes and goes but is a consistant pattern when it is vibrating; almost  sense of a cell phone vibration but very distant.  I re...

Third Degree (complete) heart block

Hello, seeking information on others experiences. I'll try to help too as my case progresses…

How many of you with completely asymptomatic AV block? My afib was discovered during pre-op for an unrelated surgery. I am 67. I was and still am completely asymptomatic, most active member of my family, up early, jog, cycle, and seem to have more energy sometimes than my daughters.  I was successfully cardioverted to N...

QRS duration

Last year, my report after testing was:

Ventricular Rate 79 BPM
Atrial Rate 79 BPM
P-R Interval 148ms
QRS Duration 144ms
QT 420ms
QTC 481 ms
P Axis 41 degrees
R Axis 154 degrees
TAxiS 112 degrees

Atrial-sensed ventricular-paced rhythm
Biventricular pacemaker detected
Abnormal ECG
When compared with ECG of 03-MAR-2021 23:38,
Vent. rate has increased BY 11 BPM

This is all incomprehensible to me...

Pacemaker heart rate setting

I have had a pacemaker for 12 years wiith my low heart rate set at 60 bpm..

After a recent ablation procedure for afib, when I came home from the surgery, I discovered my low heart rate is set at 70. I have been feeling some fatigue and was wondering if, with the higher heart rate, I'm not sleeping well. Has anyone here had this experience.?

Thank you.

The Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) Foundation has a free virtual confrence happening tomorrow. The session today was nice and we got to do some networking/sharing after the presentations. Tomorrow's session will have presentations by some notable physicians (not sure if there will be more networking).

Anyway just wanted to share in case anyone is in that boat and wants to connect with the community.

My first post!

I've been athletic all my life. I was a high school state swim meet winner. I adopted jogging instead of swimming as I got older because so much easier to do anytime anywhere. So, I got a bone spur in my neck pushing on a nerve and it needs to be removed.  I go to get "cardiac clearance" because I'm over 60 (I'm 67). I told them I feel great, never tired, full of energy, jog 2 miles every morning before work, I don't need...

TRAVEL WITH A PACEMAKER

Hello to all my fellow pacers

My names Ed, and i'm celebrating my third year with a pacemaker. I have been traveling the country and have documented the trips on video. My goal  is to motivate seniors to get out and enjoy their golden years, and see this fabulous country. A lot of senior citizens think their time has past, most of our National Parks are handicap accessable, so are all motels and restaurant along the way. So get out and enjoy the fruits of a long life. Hopefully...

Pacemaker for Syncope?

Hello everyone,

I actually don't have a pacemaker yet, but am considering getting one and wanted to see if others have had similar experiences or have any advice for me.

I am a 33-year-old woman, and on February 20th of this year, experienced my first syncope episode. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot and nauseous, went to the bathroom because I thought I might throw up. I was standing at the sink, and the next thing I knew, my boyfriend was holding me and...
