Left Side Sleeping and Strange Clicking sensation
I had my pacemaker implanted 5 June of this year. I'm still having difficulty sleeping on my left side because my pacemaker pushes into my collar bone and it's uncomfortable. The other bazarre thing, is when I lay on my left side I can physically feel and hear a faint click with each heart beat. It's like my heart is a mechanical device and I can 'feel' a metalic click of each beat. When I roll onto my back or lay on my right side it is gone. ...
New Member and CRT-D Implantee
Good evening. I am a 41 y.o. male. About 4 months ago I went into the hospital for an appendectomy and came out being told I needed to schedule an appointment with a cardiologist. The bright side is the appendectomy lead me to seeking the help I needed for my heart .
I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, LBBB, and EF of 20%. I've learned a bunch of new words:) My EP implanted a CRT-D seven days ago. Anyways that is where I am today.
Beyond any physical issues, my biggest...
Cogenital Heart Block
Hi there. So my husband and I recently had a son who was born at 24 weeks and 5 days. He is now 31 weeks gestation, but 6 weeks old. He has been diagnoised with full cogenital heart block. I'am diagnoised with sjogren's syndrome in which the doctors say that is what lead to the full heart block in my sons heart because of my antibodies. My son is tolerating his heart rate and has been since birth. His heart rate is anywhere from the 80's-100's. A normal prematur...

ID Card Language
I have an EU ID card, in English only. Is it possible to get a multi-language or at least one in Mandarin? To avoid any difficulties in a small regional airport?
Getting a Pacemaker
Hi everyone, my name is Lily and I’m 18 years old. I have Vasovagal syncope which means my blood pressure drops my heart rate slows and stops, I have a fit and then it starts again. This massively impacts my life, I’m constantly terrified of fainting, it happens badly (as in my heart stops) afew times a year maybe 3/4 times. ECG caught a 17 second cardiac arrest. But the dizziness and the fear of them is constant. I had to miss a month of school last year because my fainting...
Sick Sinus Syndrome , Now @ 2 Mos
I have had my first tune UP^ to 135 max. I am at about 8-9 weeks since ER collapse & 4 days in hospital led to implant of pacemaker. I do have a C-PAP machine, but Still, I get sleepy so often. I am taking naps multiple times each day, but I don't welcome them. I don't lie down, I sleep where I am: in a chair, traveling in car, watching a DVD. I find I have fallen asleep, when I wake in an hour or two, mostly. These are not 5 minutes cat na...
Anyone else have a pacemaker for 2nd Degree AV block Morbitz I? Advice please.
Hello.. Im wondering if anyone else has had to have a Pacemaker for a 2nd Degree AV block Morbitz I? And what where your symptoms ? And experience?
I have been recently diagnosed with this type of block after fainting and injuring my face. My cardiologist performed an ECG an ECO and a Holter. On the holter after 24 hrs it showed that thruout the day even if I were sleeping or exercising or just resting I was skipping a beat. He has recommended a Pace...
Skipped beats
I am new to this forum and am happy to have found this. Was wondering why after my PM I ( I had Tachy Brady) still get skipped HB. I only notice when driving or am more sedintary. When spinning or working out or am occupied I don’t notice.
Cardiologist wants me to take Metrop 25 mgs.
I was hoping the PM would help. Is there any kind of adjustment that can be made to my PM.
also when I get these skipped beats my head can feel like I haven’t slept.
thx...
Tired after walking 45 mins- 5 days Post op
Hi I have had my Pacemaker implanted for 6 days now. I felt up to walking today so I took a 45 min walk. I came back home and have been exhausted the entire day, even felt a little dizzy (first time since surgery), took a 2 hr nap and I’m still tired. I also notice my eyes have dark circles around them. I have been feeling ok besides slight wound pain since surgery, which I expect. but today I feel I over worked myself thinking I was well enough to exercise a bit. I’m p...

53 years old today. First time posting. Diagnosed with Wolf Parkinson White disease at age 22. Cardiac ablation performed. Required medication for rate control for many years due to some idiosyncratic tachy rhythms. Fairly well-controlled until the past one year with beta blockers. Have developed a intermittent 2nd° heart block. As a result recommendation was to come off beta blockers to see if this would help. Significant difficulty doing so but was able to stop beta blockers eight...

I am a woman, born 1941. In June 2017 I had a Pacemaker Implant. Obviously necessary because my heart rate was going down to 27 and skipping beats for periods up to 3 seconds. Naturally I am grateful this problem was pin pointed and for being able to receive this pacemaker that no doubt has saved my life. The implant sent my heart into AFIB. For the first few weeks I was in AFIB 100% of the time and to say I didn't feel well is definitely an understaetment. Symptoms were: nausea, bre...
Upper chest discomfort
Hi. I have had my pacemaker for 6 weeks and still don't feel well. I have been to the doctor and have all tests done, and everything checks out fine. I am having discomfort in my upper chest, both sides. Do the leads ever cause discomfort? Anxiety? I am an emotional wreck and cry at the drop of a hat. I am so tired of feeling crappy! Any advice?
Still Struggling
Hi all, have never posted before but have dipped in and out of reading since having my pacmaker inserted in October of last year.
I had been very ill for almost two years with no answers, had every scan and scope under the sun until i was scehdule one day for a laproscopy and all of a sudden, 10 mins before i was due to be in the OR there was nurses and doctors running about the place, hooking me up for ECGs etc because my heart rate was abnormally low.
I had no idea what was goin...
Pvc's
Had my pacemaker inserted on May 14. Had a lot of anxiety and PVC's for several weeks after but then things settled down. Last week, mid August, 2018 the PVC's started again and are strong and unsettling. Has anyone had similar experiences with this and should I be concerned?

I had my pace maker surgery on 8/15/18. Everything went very well. Hardly any pain after surgery and mostly just tightness around the incision. The main thing I'm experiencing now, 10 days after surgery, is: Depression When I look in the mirror at the incision and feel the "bump", I burst into tears. I feel okay physically but I feel I'm having a hard time adjusting to having a "foreign object" in my body. I'm also anxious about returning to work on 8/27....
Coping
In my 30's... almost 6 weeks since ICD surgery...anyone else have young kids that they couldnt pick up? This has been the hardest part of recovery for me. I'll take the pain and soreness and tightness. So hard. I wish I could talk to someone who is going through a similar situation. My family are an awesome support, but it is hard that they don't really understand what I am going through mentally, physically and emotionally.

Getting a PM out of the clear blue causes so much worry, stress and for me depression at first. I wanted to share an app I found on Alexa that has helped so much. It's called hypnotherapy. At first, I scoffed at the idea thinking it would never work. I was certainly wrong. It did take about 3 or 4 sessions but I kept trying and now, I go out light a light. I also find myself picturing the images he refers to in the therapy if I'm in pain or stressin...
