As a follow-up to https://www.pacemakerclub.com/message/33858 (pacemaker moved 12 days post-implementation) I went to the hospital today and saw first the specialist arrhythmia nurse and then the senior EP consultant in the arrhythmia team. They both agreed the pacemaker had moved -- even if they couldn't actually find it -- it was placed under the muscle and has shifted up and sideways to pinch nerves but is still so well-padded they can only estimate an approximate position.

I've had my infection since 2002 looking like endocarditis still waiting for my operation. My pacemaker pocket is full of puss which burst last week leaving a hole in the centre. hopefully I will be getting the pacemaker removed soon. I also found out I have three veins in my heart. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this before its called an AVM. They put a pacemaker wire in my third vein which is sticking through my heart and going into my lung. I'm awaiting open...

When I had my pacemaker implanted I did not have my Linq monitor removed. It had migrated from my breast to my lower rib cage. It’s still there. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have discussed this before about Palpitations. I had a Dual PM fitted in May 2018 and had problems. The 6 week check up they altered the PM and from then on I had nothing but Palpitations. A week later I went back and they said nothing was wrong with the settings of the PM were correct and, to go and see a Doctor to give me something to change this. I did and he gave me a Beta blocker, it didn't make any difference . I noticed that the worst of the Palpitations seemed to start at 10pm o...

Hi everyone, i’m wondering if you’ve ever had issues with thrombosis, post-implant. I was fitted with my PM 2 months and a wee bit ago.. and it was all going swimmingly until a couple of days ago, when i realised i could barely put on my wedding ring! AKA sausage fingers. My arm was also slightly swollen. I took myself on a little trip to the hospital, spoke to my cardiologist, 2 other cardiologist pals of his AND my EP, had an echo done and apparently i have a...

Hi,
I am 65 y.o female. Got my Medtronic CRTP implant 2 months back. Sometimes I feel a twitching/ burning pain above the pm site, which appears a bit swollen and also took the longest to heal. I have no fever or any pain around the site. I feel normal. There is no fluid effusion from the site however on closely looking at the swollen stich a very small oil drop like liquid (pale yellow) appears on the inside...

Hi,
I am 65 years old female. I got my Medtronic CRT-P implant 2 months back. Since the past couple of days I feel a fainting sensation in my head on changing my postures. I consulted my doctor and he adviced for a medicine in case I feel like fainting and also to record my sitting and standing blood pressure levels. So, I did the same and got the following readings, Sitting BP (135/73 pulse - 75) and Standing BP (119/56 pulse - 82). Is the fall in blood pressure normal on standin...

I have always exercised a lot and I teach PE. My heart rate has always been slow (around 30 bpm) but doctors put this down to exercise. Almost three years ago I needed a pacemaker at 37 years old as the electrical impulses in my heart were causing it to stop beating for approximately 5 seconds several
times a day. Since having the pacemaker fitted, mytheimplantatiohas been sore and feels like it’s digging into me. It is also very prominent, sticking out a lot and I can...

Hello.
My name is Ryan. I'm a 31 year old Male. Last year I had 3 open heart surgeries to replace my triscuspid valve due to endocarditis. Unfortunately the 3rd surgery caused the need for me to have a pacemaker as I had complete heart block. My 3rd heart surgery was 10/31/2017 and pacemaker was installed 11/07/2017. Everything seems to have healed up and I'm working every day to get stronger and healthier.

I’m a 57 yr old male and my original PM setup was a lead in coronary sinus and one in rt atrium back in April of 2015. Coronary sinus lead lost capture and EP couldn’t remove lead so he placed a new one in RV to mid septum back in May of this year (new PM as well). My ejection fraction a few months later is 42% with severe LV dilation according to echocardiogram last week. Never had any LV dilation from previous echos.
Anybody have issues with pacemaker induc...

Well, I just recently received my pacemaker 8/28/18. I was feeling ok until a heavy feeling in my chest occurred a few days ago. I thought it was just me needing to adjust to pacemaker. So today I was scheduled for my first post op check up... explained how I was feeling and they immediately sent me for an echocardiogram and chest X-ray. They found that my atrial lead had dislodged and that’s why I was feeling the heaviness. So long story short .. straight to Cath Lab and into surgery t...

Hi, I had a 2 lead pacemaker fitted in June 2018. to try to correct a slow beat and some atrial flutter. All was fine until a few days ago when I started to get a feeling of "Catching my breath". It seems to happen maybe once an hour and lasts only a fraction of a second and is gone. It is like a reflex action and gives no notice and no pain. Anybody any ideas?

Since then I have suffered with palpitations, now the give you an emergency No: to ring if any problems. After 2 weeks I called and they had me in that afternoon.

Hi all I am new to the group. I recieved my PM July 12,'18. I had a car accident in March 2018 where I passed out while driving. My car flipped several times and I had 5 broken ribs. Well I was sent to a neurologist first and he said I didnt have a seizure while driving so they sent me to a cardiologist specialist. He put a loop recorder in and after about 3 months he said that my heart pauses sometimes for 4 seconds and then it goes back to beating normal so he suggested a PM...

Anywhere from 1-50 times a day, I get a "tapping" sensation that happens on my chest. It occurs in the same place, just below (or at the very bottom) of my heart, and it always happens in pairs of 3 (is that correct grammar, "pair" if it occurs three times? lol). It is a strong sensation, and almost feels as if someone were poking me with their pointer finger on my chest trying to get my attention. It is not painful by any means, but is concerning that something is h...

I have a curious question. From the past two days I have been feeling this beat/tic/jirk I think it’s from the nerve because it feels like a heart beat and it happens in my whole, but not sure. It’s not that hiccup/jump feeling you!
I moslty get it when I move or I move my eyes suddenly, do you think it could be the wires?
thanks

In Jan. 2018 I had this pacemaker placed. Have had nothing but issues and are still having issues. The doctor who did the surgery says I just have to keep getting it adjusted, been adjusted twice, even though every EKG still shows events of Afib. I have constant pain, shortness of breath and various other issues. After some online digging I found that it had been recalled in Dec. 2017. I added the FDA link. Is there anyone else with the same model having issues? The...

My husband is a Vietnam veteran who is 100% disabled from Agent Orange and had a quadruple bypass 9 years ago. He developed an arrhythmia that persisted so he was fitted with his first pacemaker about 2 months ago. He only weighs around 145 - 150 and it protrudes from his chest very visibly. The wound site has given no problems healing, but within a few days of the placement, he developed pain in his right neck and the bones pop when he turns his head. He went to...
